Isn't it captured with special camera and then post-edited? It's impressive technology for sure, but it's used because it simplier than making entire animation model manually and yields greater detail and fidelity.

Man I love Detroit: Become Human. Say what you will about it being an interactive movie rather than a game, but it's one of the most gorgeous games I've ever played, and has one of the better stories too. It's almost painful to choose a response which will hurt any of the characters you come to love, but dammit it's the only way to get 100%.
